Our Family History
interest in sport horse breeding emerged whilst living in
the Jura region of Switzerland in the Valley De Joux. It is
there that our foundation brood mare Quinine
was born. Seen at just a few days of age, we had no idea then
that she would become the foundation of our breeding program
based here in Scotland some 25 years later, nor that our stallions,
foals and youngstock would attract attention internationally.
Our foals, youngstock, mares and stallions
have all been inspected by the most experienced judges of
the KWPN, Oldenburg and other European stud book representatives,
affirming that they meet the highest standards from which
to breed. Personal opinion and barn blindness are not at the
helm here at Solaris Sport Horses. We do however recognise
that no horse is perfect and we continually strive for improvement
with each generation.
As a small family
run business we are able to dedicate to our youngsters the
time, care and attention that they deserve on a day to day
basis. Our youngstock are very well handled, taught to lead
to and from the field, are regularly wormed and tended to
by the farrier, groomed, bathed and shown at public events,
thus assuring that they leave us as well balanced individuals
from the very start making it easier for them to integrate
easily in their new homes.
We take pride in making ourselves available
to answer any questions you may have and are only ever a phone
call away. Visitors are always warmly welcomed and we encourage
you to view the stallions or youngstock that may be of interest.
