Solaris Harmonieux an exquisite, tall, long legged, elegant,
coloured Dutch Warmblood colt by our successfull dressage
out of our Supreme Champion Dutch Warmblood mare Edwina.
He has a wonderful calm outlook to life like so many of Amoureux's
progeny, confident around people and very close to his dam.
Harmoieux has three correct paces with good mechanics, rythym
and balance, his walk is long and active, trot light footed
with good use of the foreleg and his canter has a very good
length of stride.
His sire "Amoureux" has consitently won young horse
qualifiers with scores of 78-80% having qualified for Badmington
Young Dressage Horse Of The Future, Sheerwater Potential International
Dressage Horse, the Sheetwater British National Young Dressage
Horse both as a five and six year old under International
Grand Prix Dressage Rider Michel Assouline, with a Double
win at Sheepgate Premiere League in the Hickstead Young Horse
Qualifier and Medium SOQ75 and a finalist in the Sheerwater
6YO Championship. The duo also qualified for the Regional
Championships placing ninth in the most difficult of the medium
tests M75 with just a years training under saddle with very
little competition experience. He continues to excel at Medium
level with excellent scores above 70% with current rider and
trainer Matt Burnett qualifying once again in few outings
for the regionals, gaining his highest score to date of over
73% at Abbey dressage.
Grand sire Saros Van T'Gestelhof
Sired by the Belgian approved dual purpose stallion Saros
Van 'T Gestelhof, a son of G Ramiro Z out of a Pik Koenig
x Wendekries mare, Saros sired the Belgium champion foal 2003
and currently has an exterior index of 188 earning him elite
status at the young age of seven. He had obtained over 50
victories from the age of 4 – 7 with 17 wins at Prix
st Georges, placing 4th at the World Championships in Verden
in the six year old class. Other wins include the Belgian
4, 5 and six year old Dressage Champion title. Saros' progeny
are equally as talented in jumping as they are in dressage.
Saros's sire is the famous G Ramiro Z who competed in classes
of 2.20m and perhaps most renown as sire of the famous Olympic
gold medallist Ratina Z out of the famous Holstein mare Heureka
Z. This combination of German bloodlines has conistantly proven
to be a winning combination.
His dam Edwina Edking Hill (Ekstein x Samber)
Edwina is by the Dutch coloured sire Ed King Hill (Ekstein
x Samber) Sadly Edking Hill was put to sleep after tearing
a tendon at the age of twelve. He had already had a successful
career showjumping 1.30m with Wout-Jan van der Schans in Holland
and was competing successfully in dressage with Roel van Laar
Swets at the time, thus gaining the sport predicate. He also
gained Prestatie status through his progeny and has left behind
him two approved sons Everest Hill (AES) and Parade D (Old)
His bloodlines also carry on through Everij A (Edking Hill
x DE SAINT URUS D'OLYMPE X ) a popular sire in Holland and
is the dam sire of the Approved NRPS stallion Haico. He has
also produced a number of ster and keur mares and successful
Ekstein (Zion x Joost)
Champion of the Stallion Performance Test and Champion 7-year-old
showjumper. Eksteins' most famous sons include the Olympic
competitor Joel, and the winner of the Spruce Meadows CSI****
$1,000,000 Grand Prix, found also in the damline of "Hickstead"
the Olympic Gold medalist Beijing 2008. Eksteins dam Zaniki
(1981) KWPN a Ster Pref Prestatie mare was full sister to
Approved Stallion & International Showjumper Palfrenier
and dam of numerous International Showjumpers inc. Ekstein,
Fury, Heartdancer, Joniki, & Lajos.
Edking Hill's dam the Ster Preferent mare "Fabiola"
by Samber was also the dam of the ZfDp Approved stallion "Cool
Cracker S" by Concorde that has competed successfully
up to Prix St Georges level and "Perfect Daddy"
a full brother to Edking Hill who made it through to the second
rounds of the KWPN stallion selections and then went on to
compete successfully to Z level Dressage.
Samber achieved ZZ level in Show jumping and Grand Prix
level in dressage. Samber has also proven himself a remarkable
sire producing versatile offspring succeeding in all Olympic
disciplines and remains the only Approved coloured stallion
with the K.W.P.N. – at present.
