Silvy Z joined the family in April 2014. She's a very classy
lady very sweet natured with exceptional bloodlines, a real
gem and a very rare find. Her sire is the late legend Sandro
Z, sire of Sandro Song, grand sire to Sandro Hit. Her dam
sire is the great Zeus and her maternal grand sire Glendale
by Nimmerdor.
As her pedigree would imply she has an valuable addition
to our breeding program. Silvy has three good paces with an
especially good canter.
Silvy is scanned in foal to Amoureux for 2015
Sandro Z was quite unique in that he is
the only stallion son of the cross of Sacramento Song and
Wahnfried – a cross that has also been very successful
in producing dams of stallions.
The stallions Lavell I, & II, Atlantas Z, Campione, and
the international jumping horses, Cathleen, ridden by Meredith
then Michael Beerbaum and Zigeunerin ridden by Rodrigo Pessoa
all came from the same cross.
Sandro’s dam, Dürte was a the full sister of one
of the most successful Puissance horses of all time –
Wabbs. Durte was also the dam of Harvey Smith’s Salvador.
The most successful of his sons was the great Sandro Boy
ridden by Marcus Ehning who made history in the global show
jumping: with over 1.2 million Euro in competition winnings
Equally Sandro was a major influence on dressage breeding
grand sire to the legendary Sandro Hit. Dressage descendants
include Isabell Werth’s Satchmo by the Sandro son, Sao
Paulo. Sorento and Furstenball all carry the blood of Sandro.
Zeus Bred in France, he was named Gordios
and stood at stud for the French National Haras, later sold
to Germany he was renamed "Zeus" after the greek
God of mythology, during his stud duties in the Netherlands
he was known as Nurzeus. Sire of many great International
Show Jumpers and the stallion sons Beach Boy and Zandor Z.
Glendale bred by VDL stud in the Netherlands
a son of the influential stallion of the century Nimmerdor.
His own career in sport never took off after his colic surgery
and export to the US but has a quantitive number of successful
progeny in dressage and jumping. Also a producer of quality
brood mares including "Lominka"
dam sire of dressage legend Totilas.
Ramiro Z Over a period of of thirty years,
the "Preferent" G Ramiro Z's performance as a sporthorse
and breeding sire has clearly earned him the well deserved
titles 'Stallion of the Century' and "King of Sires."
Bred in Holstein, born in Westfalia, licensed at Neumünster,
Ramiro Z was an international performer under Fritz Ligges,
a stallion that has had a far reaching influence on the greatest
acheiving sports horses of today. Ramiro was one of the first
Holstein stallions to actually appear in competition unlike
many others of that era. During his own sporting career he
had numerous wins at all levels of show jumping including
Nations Cups, Puissance (jumping over 2.2 metre) and in international
Grand Prix competition.
La Vie (Ramiro Z x Lucky Boy) Dam of the
International show jumper Silton ridden by Jean Baptise in
France, Claudio Panetti in Switzerland and Mohamed Tawfik
ASSI for Egypt. Grand dam Tourniquette was awarded the Prestatie
predicate based on the success of her progeny in sport.
